Why Buy Organic? There is a recognised national, legally defined standard for organic meat and produce, which is inspected and certified at each stage from the farm to your dinner table. Country Cuts is certified organic by the Organic Farmers & Growers We rear our own animals, on the rare occasions that we buy in organic produce or additive-free produce, we ensure that we know where each animal was reared and slaughtered and advice our customers of the origin of the animal. Our animals receive the best care possible. We ensure they have ample room to enjoy their lives on the farm and that they live in ideal conditions for their breed and temperament. For maximum flavour our animals are raised in natural conditions and reared organically or 'additive-free'. Following slaughter the animals are hung or 'matured' to ensure excellent flavour. The animals grow slowly and naturally, due to the lack of growth promoters and hormones seen in modern intensive farming. Our animals are free from additives and growth promoters, routine drugs such as antibiotics and develop natural health and resistance. This lack of chemical and biological interference ensures healthy meat for our customers (and us!). Many consumers are concerned about chemicals and other additives in modern meat and we are proud to provide the highest quality organic and additive-free products to our customers. We do not use any GM produce, in line with organic requirements and also due to concerns regarding the long term effects of GM crops and foods. Our meats, poultry and game are vacuum packed at the farm to ensure maximum freshness when they arrive with our customers, careful packing (more information available) ensures that the meat is fresh and ready to either cook or freeze when it arrives at your door. Deliveries are sent 'overnight' to ensure they arrive with you as quickly as is humanly possible. |
